You must not smoke in any part of The Kathrene. We guarantee a 100 % smoke free environment for our guests. The building is also classed as a workplace where smoking is illegal. This includes all public spaces, flats, (including bathrooms and kitchens) and smoking out of the window. You must not interfere with our fire detection system or ventilation system.
If you do so we will terminate your booking. We may either (at our sole discretion) request the immediate re-payment of our costs during your stay or instruct a third party to contact you after your stay to recover our costs. The costs we incur if you smoke in our building include costs for specialist cleaning, repair or replacement of damage by you to our property, the cost of the flat for any period it is unusable and our administration expenses. You must not damage or interfere with any items belonging to us. If you do so we will terminate your booking. We will instruct a third party to contact you after your stay to recover the costs for any repair, replacement or specialist cleaning we incur if you damage our flats or property. If you request it, we will send a breakdown of these costs to the address used for the booking.
For safety reasons and to comply with Fire Regulations and insurance, the fire doors must be kept closed. Deep fat frying and the use of candles are not allowed.
If for any reason you leave your flat unoccupied overnight we are required to know. To comply with Fire regulations we need to know who is in occupation of the premises.
The number of persons staying in each flat must not exceed the number agreed at the time of booking. Pets are by arrangement only.
The occupants may only receive guests in the flats with the prior consent of the proprietors, who have the right to refuse.
All guests at the Kathrene must conduct themselves in an acceptable manner and in the interests of all occupants undue noise is discouraged at all times.
The proprietors have the right to cancel accommodation, if, in their opinion, the behaviour of the occupants is detrimental to the well being, comfort or enjoyment of other guests.
For the comfort of other guests we request that you do not cook strong smelling foods. This includes smoked fish and the cooking of heavily spiced food.
Washing and drying must not be undertaken in the flats.
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages or any missing items and undertake to pay for them. Please inform us when it happens not at the end of your stay.
The proprietors cannot accept any responsibility for the loss of articles, valuables or injury to guests during their stay.
We are proud of our high standards of comfort and cleanliness and we request that occupants co-operate in preserving these standards by leaving the apartments in a clean and tidy condition.
The front door of the building must be kept locked at all times.
Loss of keys will incur a charge of £10.
It is strongly advisable to take out travel/holiday insurance
Please note that a contract is now in force and if a cancellation is made, whatever the reason, monies paid are not refundable unless we can re-let the flat. Also, in order to comply with the unfair Contract Terms Act we must point out that you will be liable for the balance if the flat cannot be re-let. Cancellations must be made in writing.
